Welcome to Snowies Photography!
My name is Karen and i'm a mother to two wonderful children.

My oldest,

This was last halloween.  Unfortunatly after years of sticking a camera in his face, my son no longer jumps to be in front of camera's lol.  So, you won't see a lot of him on this site, but I do manage to get the odd picture of him still.

This is my youngest,

At 18 months old, she has already hit the terrible 2 stage :).  She is definatly my little handful.

And of course, this is me!

Yes, I'm a huge Eagles fan.  This picture is actually a few years old.  It was me at my first ever real Eagles game in PA.  What a blast, I had so much fun!

Now a bit more about me,
I have dabbled on and off with photography for probably over 15 years now.  I was originally taught on a 35mm Pentax Camera.  What a beautiful camera that was.

I spent many years in a dark room learning and devoloping my own pictures.  And even though that no longer exists, I am forever greatful for learning that.

But when digital camera's first came out, I will be honest, I did NOT jump on it.  I actually decided at that time to give it up for a bit, and that's exactly what I did.

Until I got pregnant with my son.  When he was born, my passion for photography came back full force.  I had a reason to go out and grab a camera and that is exactly what I did.

But I was now sitting back at the beginning as if I never knew a thing about photography.  I now had to relearn everything I once knew about photography. 

Throughout the years, I have spent relearning everything I once knew and more.  Digital photography was new to me, and I didn't want to be out shooting like before without knowing what I needed to know. 

I didn't want to come across as one of those 'fake photographers'.  So over the next few years, I spent learning all I could about digital photography.

Over the years and even while I was still learning, I entered a photo contest and even won.  My collection is in a book called forever journies or something like that. (It was over 9 years ago, I forgot sorry)

I still have a lot to learn, but I am getting there.
